Greetings!
We are in the business of putting ourselves out of business, and we need your help to make it happen! With our unique brand of action and effective methods, we save lives in a way that no other group does.
What can you do to help? We have ships, we have strategies, and plans in place. We have experienced crewmembers. All we need is your support! Please make a donation today and enable us to defend the defenseless with our marine defense campaigns! More on these plans below...

No Welfare for the Whalers This Year?
There is a small possibility that the Japanese government could still risk public outrage in Japan by once again subsidizing the Japanese whaling fleet. Sea Shepherd will not stand down in our interventions against unlawful Japanese commercial whaling activities.

If the Japanese whaling fleet returns to the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary, Sea Shepherd will shut them down - again! Poaching is poaching and not only is it ethically wrong - it's a crime! (more) |
Scott West Reports from Taiji: Sneaky Bastards
The Taiji Town of ficials would have us believe that they are being magnanimous by foregoing their spring whale hunt in order to send their two coastal whaling vessels to help out their brethren in the North. What a load of crap. (more)

Steve Irwin Tailed by Somali Pirates in the Gulf of Aden |
The Steve Irwin successfully ran the gauntlet of Somali pirates this week as the ship and crew transited the Gulf of Aden to the Red Sea under the command of Captain Lockhart MacLean.
The Steve Irwin is en route to the Mediterranean Sea, where Sea Shepherd will soon defend the highly threatened bluefin tuna and intervene against illegal fishing operations during our upcoming campaign Operation Blue Rage. (more)

Solo Sailor Laura Dekker Meets Sea Shepherd Galapagos
Laura Dekker is currently on a mission to set the world record for being the youngest sailor to circumnavigate the globe solo. During her voyage, she flies the Sea Shepherd flag and is an ambassador for our cause!
Laura just made a stopover in the Galapagos Islands and is pictured above with our Galapagos Director Alex Cornelissen. If you'd like to get the background on her story, check out our posting from last August. We wish Laura smooth sailing and applaud her for her bold endeavor.

With your loyal support, Sea Shepherd has become an important force to be reckoned with as we continue to do what we do best, and what we do best is to focus passion, courage, and dedication into campaigns that achieve results by saving lives and costing the killers their illicit profits. Right now the oceans are being rampantly exploited and polluted. This is the single most threatening issue to our future. Quite simply, if the oceans die, we die. Please be as generous as you can today in supporting our efforts. Thank-you! For the oceans,
Captain Paul Watson Founder and President
