The next Council meeting will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Please note this meeting will start at 8:30 a.m. instead of the regular 9:30 a.m. time. 7th Annual Hopeful Tears Institute Grief Summit  
Tomorrow's Rainbow, in partnership with the Children's Services Council of Broward County, presents Holding Space on May 23. Practitioners are often bombarded by differing techniques to help heal some of our community's most wounded children, teens and adults. Holding Space allows practitioners to engage clients in meaningful, cathartic work with individuals and groups that have witnessed, experienced and dealt with traumatic situations. This training is a must for those in the trauma informed services community and anyone facilitating growth and change.

Announcing a new funding opportunity.  The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP) Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) provides funding to assist with efforts to prevent or reduce crime and violence under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. The JAG Program is the primary provider of federal criminal justice funding to state and local jurisdictions. The BJA is also responsible for identifying strategies and purposes for funding, known as the Eligible Federally Authorized Purpose Areas.
