Holiday Open House
 December 3rd & 4th
11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. 

Looking for that special gift for your wine enthusiast friend or relative?  Come to the winery for a Holiday Celebration on December 3rd & 4th from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

We will host our open house with seasonal music, gift items, tours of the winery, samples of a variety of our wines made in our own cellar, nibble on holiday treats while sipping on a steaming cup of mulled, Cranberry Apple Cider.  We offer a wide assortment of wine accessories, wine racks and gift baskets, not to mention candles, holiday figurines and much more.  We'll make custom gift baskets to your desire.

Annual Chili Cook-off
January 21, 2012

Sign up to participate in JEV's annual chili cook-off contest.  Limited to 6 entries only.  Must call Jamie to sign up.  Bring your best chili to the winery where it will be judged.  Samplers pay only $8/person at the door, and receive a bowl of Grandma Dede's chili, a drink and dessert and be able to sample and judge the contestant's chili entries.  Then stay and listen to entertainment til 10:00 p.m.

Winter Wine & Dine

Each year John Ernest Vineyard & Winery hosts the "wine and dine" event to gather friends for an evening of great food, wine and entertainment.  This is an annual event that is held in February.

Mardi Gras & Native Wine Release Party

Help us celebrate the yearly release of our native wines!
$8.00/person for pastalaya, rice and beans cajun style.  Dress in green, gold and purple for Mardi Gras and wear your beads and masks.
Music will be 7-10 p.m. that night too!

Hog Roast & Luau

It's not too soon to be marking your 2011 calendars now for this fun-filled evening of food, music and wine.

Join us for the hog roast, 5-7 p.m.  $8 per person.  Meal includes pork sandwiches, salads and beverage.

Dress in luau apparel.

This is a special recognition night for our case club members.  In our appreciation of their devotion to our wines, they get the privilege to eat and drink on us for free from 5-7 p.m.  Thank you Case Club members!

Other important information:

  • Morning Dew, ASPOK and Pinot Noir are gone for the season. Don't worry, Morning Dew and ASPOK will definitely be available again in the Spring!
  • But, if you love our Pinot Noir, we need to hear from you.  Do you love this wine?  Would you hate to see it go?  Post a message on our facebook page and let us know how you feel about the Pinot Noir.
  • We will be changing our Winter season hours (Dec.-April) starting this December to:

John Ernest Vineyard & Winery is owned and operated by the Kopsa family.  The winery is named after its owner John Ernest Kopsa.  The winery was established in 2004.  The family owns a little over 6 acres now but is proud to mention they have an additional 6 vineyards growing grapes for their production of wine.  The winery makes 15 different varieties of wine all ranging from dry to sweet, red to white and fruit wines too!
