Sizes: Twin - King
"Raggedy" Ruth has a way with quilting fabric. When you see this quilt, it is obvious why we named it "Star Struck"!
This scrappy quilting masterpiece alternates an 8-pointed star block with a framed 16-patch block. Together these two blocks give the unique illusion of sashing between the blocks.
Not contented to be contained within the quilt itself, two 8-pointed star blocks spill out into opposite corners of the border. These corner treatments are accompanied with 20-patch strips to frame the opposite corners. The 20-patch blocks also give the illusion of sashing in the borders - how unique!
To make sure the star blocks look their best, "Raggedy" Ruth has included a paper piecing template for constructing the stars. The Perfect Corner Ruler™ recommended but not required as the pattern shows both the "Perfect Corner Method™ and the "Sew & Flip" method where corner triangles are incorporated into the design.
You could choose to stay simple and give this quilt a plain outer border. However, I think that you'll agree that the border treatment presented here is worth the minimal effort! With "Raggedy" Ruth's excellent, illustrated instructions, once you have perfected the borders and corners on this quilt, I'm sure you will want to apply them to other quilts that you have in your stash!
As usual, Ruth's excellent instructions takes you each step of the way to complete this master piece! Complex, made easy!
