Lori Goldstein joins the PAA Team!

As the new manager of WESTAF's Public Art Archive, Lori joins the team after years working in the public art field. Most recently, Lori was the public art and program manager for the Arts Council of Lake Oswego, Oregon. Prior to that position, Lori served as a contractor for PAA and was heavily involved in growing the inventory the Archive currently holds by ensuring the classifications in the Archive were properly applied. Lori has been the long-time assistant to Carolyn Braaksma of Braaksma Design Inc., a public art design firm based in Denver.

A native of Memphis, Lori attended Colorado College for her undergraduate studies and received her master's degree in art history from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she was the visual resources graduate assistant. After five years in Oregon, Lori is thrilled to return to Denver and resume her work for the Public Art Archive and WESTAF.

Why is collection management important?

"Well managed digital collections have the power to educate, foster creative collaboration, generate new ways of thinking, and enhance the experience of viewers. By contributing content to the Public Art Archive's digital repository, you are uncovering access for viewers across the globe."

      Digital Collections Librarian, Regis University
Data Curator for the Public Art Archive

Collection management is a key component of the public art process. As public art administrators and artists, we have an obligation to protect assets for future generations. By developing strong collection management policies and strategies, you can ensure that your public art collection is well cared for, properly maintained and remains valuable both monetarily and as a symbol of community identity and pride.

Let us help you!

We consult with representatives from any public art organization to overcome challenges such as time and money to answer all of your questions and support your practice. We do the data entry for you and are happy to do multiple imports at a pace that works for you. Contributing to the PAA is an important way to support the continued growth of the public art field.

Invest in public art in the present to protect its future.
