Stay tuned for our upcoming Mission to Guayaquil August 31 - September 23, 2018 Cleft lip/palate patients require follow up care even through adolescence to correct challenges related to breathing, dental care, eating or speech development. In order to accommodate the growing need for comprehensive cleft care, our team has been organizing 2 missions/year to Guayaquil, allowing us to follow up with our patients' progress & provide them with the best multi-disciplinary care possible. We are planning for 3 missions in 2019: March, July & September.

Raquel's parents are in constant contact with our team, expressing their eternal gratitude for Raquel's successful cleft lip repair. They recently shared this lovey photo of her!

Raquel's mother had found out about the malformation during the last trimester of her pregnancy & feared that her daughter would not lead a normal life. After Raquel’s cleft lip repair was complete however, this fear turned into immense joy!

Cleft & Craniofacial Awareness & Prevention Month July was National Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness and Prevention Month. GSF joined the effort to spread awareness in the Boston area and beyond. 

Young Supporter Launches Campaign to “Save-A-Smile” Thirteen year-old Teagan Mabrysmith is combining her love for hockey and passion to help others in her Save-A-Smile campaign to benefit Global Smile Foundation (GSF). Teagan plays goalie for her team, the  Hartford Jr. Lady Wolfpack U14-2 ,   and has decided to put her hard work in defending the goal towards raising money to buy a critical piece of diagnostic equipment (like the one featured in the picture below) for GSF to use on mission trips.
