We're thrilled to announce that Selfhelp’s 2017 Gala was an overwhelming success!  On Wednesday, May 24th, over 600 guests (a new record for Selfhelp!) gathered at The Plaza to pay tribute to three exceptional individuals, Marion Wiesel, Debrah Lee Charatan and Staci Barber.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated in this historic evening.   Thanks to your extraordinary generosity, $1.3 million has been raised in support of over 4,500 Holocaust survivors as well as thousands of other vulnerable elderly in our care.

She helped to translate her husband's writings and co-founded the Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity.

Debrah Lee Charatan, Vice Chair of Selfhelp’s Foundation Board was presented with the Caring for Generations Award by Gala Vice Chair, Larry Silverstein.  With her unwavering commitment to assisting survivors and others in need and her extraordinary generosity, Debrah is most deserving of this recognition.
