Sara Lukkonen, of C-Koop Beads, will be back Saturday, November 2nd and Sunday, November 3rd.  Not only will there be a trunk show of her lovely enameled goodies, but she'll also be teaching two classes:

Beginning Torch Fired Enameling Workshop 

November 2nd, 10:30am - 1:30pm

Learn the basics of torch enameling with Sara Lukkonen, the owner/artist of C-Koop Beads.  Using a Hot Head Torch™, learn safely to add colorful enamel powders to copper.

Make as many beads, pendants & headpins as class time allows!

Class time:  3 hours

Torch Fired Enameling and Riveting Workshop  

November 3rd, 10:30am - 2:30pm 

In the class you will be enameling copper stampings and then riveting them to leather.  Each student will be provided with enough stampings, rivets, leather and findings to make a great bracelet!  The instructor will provide everything needed to do the enameling. Experience in enameling is preferred but not necessary.

Taking the beginner's class first will give the students a better understanding of the enameling process. It may be difficult for students who have not taken the beginner class to handle the type of pieces needed for riveting.  

Class time:  3-4 hours

National Bead Shop Month

October is National Visit Your Local Bead Shop Month.  We're celebrating with some pretty awesome daily classes and sales.  Make sure to check out the calendar on our website to see all the fun events!

National Weaving Month

 October is also National Weaving Month.  Our fabulous weaving instructor, Jill, is so great and generous that she is offering some incredible, one time only, super sales on Schacht products and weaving classes in October!

Woven Pouch Class
If you've been contemplating a new hobby, now is the time to give weaving a try.  Jill will teach you to weave an adorable little pouch for a jaw-dropping low price of only $25.00 (plus supplies).

Looms will be pre-warped for this class.  Jill will help students select the right combination of fibers to create a beautiful woven pouch.  She will also be discussing how fibers play together, color theory, weaving tips and tricks, and how to warp for more than one project.  Class times are as follows:

Monday, October 28th 6:00pm-8:00pm

Jill also offers a variety of rigid heddle weaving techniques besides the basics.  She offers different patterns such as Hounds-tooth, Leno Lace, Brooks Lace, and more!  She also teaches shawls, samplers, and ponchos!  She is becoming very well known for her beautiful ponchos and sells them almost as soon as she makes them.  She's so in love with her art that she's willing to share her passion and secrets with others!
