Nothing about us without us!
Board Member Applications
The Youth Legacy Foundation is seeking a few new board members to expand our 4-member board to about 7-8 directors. If you are interested, or know someone who may consider applying, please send a bio and a letter of interest to Bridget Siljander at [email protected]. Materials will be reviewed by the board, who will select a slate of candidates for election. If you have any questions, you may call 612-293-7008.

We are a working board in the sense that board members assist with implementing our mission. However, it is very flexible. Some of the basic board member requirements: believe in the mission of promoting disability inclusion, attend board meetings, and contribute time, energy and support to the organization.

Additional Resources

Try to check out our Facebook page, where we share a lot of information and keep up with what's happening in the disability rights movement! For example, a lot of us have been advocating to protect Medicaid, which funds a lot of community-based services and supports. Youth leaders have been on the show Disability Viewpoints, and we shared photos. We have several disabled volunteers who post material that we think you would be interested in. And when you're there, be sure to like us to stay connected.
Support YLF with a Gift

We are an all-volunteer organization and we benefit from support that goes toward projects that empower disabled youth. This year, we are focusing on purchasing some low-cost technology to help expand our reach across the community. We appreciate everything!
