We are wrapping up our Campaign and that means it is time for Fund Distribution.
We are looking for volunteers to join us for this incredible opportunity to learn about community issues and the programs that are helping. Volunteers will review grant applications and meet with lead staff and board from the programs ultimately providing a recommendation for which programs to fund and at what dollar amount.
Samson Rope (pictured above at our 2017 Campaign Celebration) won the 2017 Spirit of United Way Award.
This award acknowledges a company whose employees went above and beyond for the United Way effort, pitching in and working together, being creative and working exceptionally hard to have positive campaign results.
Also at our Campaign Celebration, we honored
Danielle Schemm from the City of Bellingham as the Campaign Coordinator of the Year for all of her work to bring the United Way Campaign to every department in the City of Bellingham.
United Way supports a variety of after school programs at the Bellingham School District, Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County, and the Whatcom Family YMCA to name a few. And guess what?
Your donations make this possible!
CHANGES AT UNITED WAY
At the end of April after almost 10 years with United Way of Whatcom County we will say
goodbye to our Director of Development, Tamara Tregoning, and wish her luck in her new adventures.
A message from Tamara: "It has truly been an honor to work with such an exceptional team here at United Way of Whatcom County. The dedicated and amazing staff, board, and volunteers have made this an incredible and rewarding experience. I look forward to continuing to be a Leadership donor and advocate for United Way as I take on a new role at Unity Care NW, an organization that supports United Way's mission and vision to build a strong and healthy community,"
