Seeking God Requires Humility...
"The washing of His presence on my soul...."

Francis Frangipane wrote in his book,"I Will Be Found by You" about what it looks like to seek God. The first thing he writes is to be humble. He says,"Until we embrace humility, our natural mind displays itself as a god sitting in the temple of our thought life. We are ruled by the tyranny of fleshly desires, soulish fears, and human ambitions. To advance in God, we must retreat from SELF.
Thus, when true meekness emerges in our hearts, it comes to silence the clamor of our fleshly minds. The volume of our self-righteousness mutes; the voice of our fears and inadequacies becomes a whisper. To humble our earthly perspectives and opinions, we must relegate them to a lower priority; they become mere background noise as our focus turns increasingly toward God....
Thus humility, at its root, starts with honesty. The humbled heart is truly and deeply acquainted with its need, and in the beginning, the awareness of one's need becomes the voice of prayer. This confession, "I have sinned," puts us on the side of God concerning it.  We agree with our Father that our behavior is wrong--we're selfish, lustful, and unloving. Thus the process of healing begins during this moment of self-discovery."  He goes on to say, "Yet with humility we not only acknowledge our need, but we also take full responsibility for it. We offer no defense to God for our fallen condition. We come to him not to offer a defense for our fallen position or explain ourselves to Him but rather we come to receive a cleansing of ourselves."
So to me Humility means that I learn how to die to self (my soulish things of emotions, desires and intellectual prowess) and become totally dependent on Father God. That will require that I not only learn to Trust God in a deeper level but also be willing to be honest with myself as to any level of unrighteousness I am holding onto in my life. I have to want to change for me, not for someone else. I have to want to have my first love renewed for Jesus and my heart has to really want to seek his face. When you can do that...when you begin to experience the Father's embrace... then you will have "Peace like a river in your soul and the washing of His Presence will be like the refreshing of a beautiful waterfall."
The question is...are you willing to get honest with yourself?

"Yikes! This year is almost over..."
    But don't freak out!!!

You still have a chance to place a seed into Transformation Ministries (TM) and have an eternal impact on the kingdom of God and the many families and individuals that receive ministry from TM.
This year we have a huge need of your help and support for our 2017 budget, expansion of our offices and classrooms, and increases in our staffing levels.

This year we have doubled in the size of our classes with 99 students this semester and we expect over 100 next semester. We have outgrown our classrooms and office space. We have hired four new counselors and teachers. It's going to cost us around $50,000 to convert a adjoining warehouse space into offices and a 72 person classroom including all the tables and chairs. With your help we can start building the walls and putting up doors...
So don't miss out on a wonderful way to receive a blessing from the Lord...
