- Spring Pre-season tournaments are underway! Congrats to our U15 and U16 Elite teams for winning all of their games at the Seacoast tournament this weekend (brrrr). Also, congratulations to our U11, U12, U13 and U14 AP teams for winning all of their games at the GPS tournament last weekend!
- Good luck to all teams competing at the NEFC tournament this upcoming weekend and to all our teams traveling to Virginia for the Jefferson Cup! Go Select!

Spring Kickoff Party!
Play against the Coaches
What better way to kick off the Spring season then with some music, celebration and a chance to play against the coaches. Join us after for some drinks and pizza in the Skybox Lounge. A great event and rally to get all ages and coaches excited about our Spring season.

Date: Friday, March 31st
Times: 4PM - 5:30PM
All players are encouraged to hang around for a pizza party and cheer on all SELECT players against the coaches.

Select's Featured Coach
Mike Fraser
Mike has been with South Shore Select since 2014. Before Select, Mike coached at Hanover United and Norwell High School. Currently he coaches the U11 Elite, U14 Elite (White), and U19 teams at South Shore Select. He is also the Hanover High School Girl's Varsity Soccer Coach for the past 4 years.
Mike's love for sports is not limited to soccer. In high school, Mike was a three sport athlete playing soccer, basketball, and baseball at Marshfield High School (Go Rams!). During his high school career, Mike was named an Eastern Massachusetts All Star, Patriot Ledger All- Scholastic and All State selection for soccer. He continued his soccer career at Bridgewater State University where he played for four years.
Mike has one older brother, Matt. His parents are Gail and Bob and he has a beautiful goddaughter/niece, Brooke who turns 1 in May!

Free Clinic with Brendan!
South Shore Select is offering a FREE,
Advanced Clinic
on March 16th,
for any player U11-14 from 4:00-5:30pm
at the South Shore Sports Center, 55
Recreation Park Dr. Hingham, MA. The
session will be run by one of Select's
Directors, Brendan Hamilton. The training
session will be a great way to get some
extra touches in prior to Pre-season events!

Practice MVPs are Back!
Starting last week, we brought back practice MVPs. Our goal is to take the opportunity
to recognize a player who brought their "A" game at the end of every practice. We understand the amount of hard work and dedication each player puts into Select and this is the perfect time to give them credit for their efforts.

International Women's Day 2017
On Wednesday, March 8th, South Shore Select celebrated International Women's Day. As a soccer club whose mission is to encourage women to be their best and happiest self, this day was very important to our club community. We celebrated this day by wearing Select t-shirts with the slogan: "I know I play like a girl. Try to keep up"!
We loved celebrating International Women's Day with all of our girls and staff. Keep up the great work ladies! We are so proud of all of you.

Berkshire Camp 2017
Registration Deadline for Session 2 is March15th.
We need a minimum of 70 players registered to move forward with this additional session offering.

South Shore Sports Center:
Sponsorship Opportunities
The South Shore Sports Center is now offering an exciting new opportunity for you to display your business to an active audience. We have multiple levels of sponsorships available as well as various marketing outlets to build brand exposure.
You now have the opportunity to display your business on our field boards, place your logo on our champion t-shirts, or offer our audience a special savings via the South Shore Select app and much more. The Jamboree began in 1995 and has become a multi-sport fun camp with skills competitions, games, and activities. Sports and activities include soccer, basketball, capture the flag, baseball, kickball, Dr. Spie, volleyball and touch football. This camp is a great opportunity for an individual to experience and participate in the excitment of several sports and activities. Come join us for a fun filled exciting week that will surely be a summer treat.

Lost and Found:
There are several red sweatshirts and black game zip ups that have been recovered! If you have lost yours, stop by the lost and found (between rink 2 and 3) and pick it up at your convenience!
