  • Happy Easter Everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful weekend with your family and friends!
  • REMINDER:  There will be no regularly scheduled practice this week due to April Vacation school break.  There are still spots open for our April Vacation camp so sign up now before it begins tomorrow!
  • U16 Pre-Elite, U17 Elite, U17 AP teams will have training on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-7pm at the Sports Center.
  • Spring Sunday games recommence this Sunday!
Upcoming Events:  

Make sure you sign up for April Vacation Camp today! Camp begins tomorrow, April 18th. We are very excited for camp to start! Remember that camp is open to both Select and Non-Select Players so invite your kids' best friends, relatives and neighborhood pals to register.  We hope to see you tomorrow!

Annual Golf Tournament: 
Friday, May 12th
The Golf tournament is almost sold out!  Only 2 foursomes left!!!  Dinner event is also almost sold out so register today to avoid disappointment.  Still looking for sponsors as well as raffle and auction items.  We appreciate any and all support!

Select Tryouts

Birth Announcement
Abel Orion Arcese

We are so excited to welcome a new member to our Select Family, Abel Orion Arcese.  Abel was born on March 24, 2017 weighing 7 lbs 11oz.  His father, Joey, mother, Ellen, and sister, Lola, are overjoyed to welcome the new member to their family.  Ellen has been the Marketing and Communications Director of South Shore Select for just over a year and has had a major impact on our club. Congratulations to the Arcese Family! 
Adult Soccer League

Select Parents,

Sign up for our Adult Soccer League beginning at the end of April - June! We offer a variety of divisions including Women's Open, Men's Over 40, Coed Rec and several more.  Click here to register and to find out more about our adult leagues! Your kids don't get to have all the fun :)
Phoebe Murphy Competes with 
Region I ODP in England!

Phoebe Murphy is on our U16 AP team and has been in England for the past week with the ODP Region 1 Team!  

We are so proud of you and can't wait to hear all about your amazing experience.
Select Runs in the Boston Marathon

J oe Theis, father of Marin & Meredith Theis and manager of the U13 Premier team, and Rachel Blauner, a Select alumnae, are running in the Boston Marathon today!  We are so proud of both of you and wish you the best of luck! #Bostonstrong
April Vacation Camp!

Don't forget to sign up for April Vacation Camp starting TOMORROW! There will be two separate sessions taking place for camp this year so be sure to register for the correct times!

*If you are a Non-Select Player or on a Select Boys team, you may  wear what you like.





4th Annual Golf Tournament

This year's 4th Annual South Shore Select Golf Tournament will be held Friday, May 12th at the South Shore Country Club at 1pm.  This year, funds will be donated to Select families in need of financial support, St. Jude's Hospital and South Shore Select Enrichment Programs.  We only have a maximum of 32 groups so be sure to register ASAP! 

As always, we will be holding a dinner afterwards, beginning at 6pm.  We welcome all non-golfers to join us for dinner at the end of the tournament.  For more information and details, please check out our website or email us!

Leadership Workshop!

South Shore Select will be partnering up with Edgework Consulting to run a leadership workshop this Spring on Thursdays for our girls.  

We are excited to offer our girls a unique opportunity to complete a four part leadership training series exclusive to our players.

Over the 4 weeks, players will learn the following:
  • An increased understanding of leadership qualities and styles to further develop strengths as a leader.
  • A toolkit to build confidence and resiliency.
  • Effective communication & accountability skills for emerging leaders to use on and off the field.

Practice MVPs are Back!

We are taking this opportunity to recognize our young girls who bring a positive attitude and hard work ethic to training with our weekly practice MVPs.  We understand the amount of hard work and dedication each player puts into Select and this is the perfect way to highlight our girls after every session.  Check out our instagram page to see this week's MVPs @ssselect.
