- Spring Pre-season tournaments are underway! Congrats to all of our teams who took part in the NEFC Tournament and the Jefferson Cup this weekend! We are so proud of all players, coaches and families.
- Good luck to all teams competing at the Seacoast Tournament this upcoming weekend and to all of our teams traveling to Virginia for the Jefferson Cup College Showcase! Go Select!

Spring Training:
Training will resume outdoors the first week of April (weather permitting).
Schedules will be released this week! This week and next week, please follow the normal winter indoor training schedule unless otherwise noted.

Congratulations to our U10 and U11 Elite teams who played against each other in the finals of the U11 division this weekend! What a great accomplishment! We are so proud of you all.

Congratulations to all our players who made their way down to Virginia this weekend to play in the Jefferson Cup, one of the top tournaments in the country! We were the only Massachusetts club in the top divisions at the event and are so proud of all of our girls.
- Our U12 AP team advanced to the Semi Finals on Sunday after two great games Saturday against McLean ECNL (Virginia) and Michigan Jaguars (Michigan). The Semi was a 0-0 draw the entire game until Select conceded a goal in the last 45 seconds against a very good team, Southern Elite from Georgia, who went on to win the tournament.
- The 13 AP team won their first game of the weekend on Saturday 1-0 against a solid team from North Carolina. The goal was scored by Natalie Zibinskas (Duxbury) and the shoutout posted by Select's strong defense and goalkeeper, Avery Rogers (Bourne). The team took on McLean ECNL from Virginia in their second match and the game ended in a hard fought 2-2 tie. Both goals were scored by Sophie Reale (Rockland). On Sunday, Select U13 AP played against the other top team in the division, Sting Dallas from Texas but eventually fell short in a 2-1 loss in the last 5 minutes of the game.
- The U14 AP team who is currently ranked as one of the top teams in the country, came out on fire this weekend. They played in the top division at Jefferson Cup and went undefeated only allowing 2 goals the entire tournament. On Saturday, Select took on GOL SA ECNL (Georgia) beating them 2-0 followed by a 3-1 victory against Cincinnati Cup Gold (Ohio). On Sunday, the girls took on Maryland ECNL and beat them 1-0 before clinching the title against BRYC from Virginia in the finals in a 3-1 victory. Congratulations to all the girls. It was truly an all around team effort.

Spring Kickoff Party!
Play against the Coaches
What better way to kick off the Spring season then with some music, celebration and a chance to play against the coaches. Join us after for some drinks and pizza in the Skybox Lounge. A great event and rally to get all ages and coaches excited about our Spring season.

All players are encouraged to hang around for a pizza party and cheer on all SELECT players against the coaches.

Select's Featured Coach
Moe Elshazly
Moe joined South Shore Select in the Fall of 2016. Before coaching for Select, Moe coached for Tab Ramos Soccer Academy for four years. He then coached for Fox Soccer Academy in New Jersey for six years. Moe moved to the South Shore to start a new life in Boston with his family.
Moe developed as a young soccer player at the Arab Contractors Sporting Club in Egypt U7-U17. He was captain of his U14 team and a guest player for the U16 team in the same year. His dream to play professionally came true when he made it to the Egyptian national team from 1993-1997. Unfortunately, his career was short lived when he injured his knee in 1997. After surgery, he then moved to the USA and played in the New Jersey Garden State League in 2000 with Anadoleu FC. He later joined the Turkish Eagles from 2001-2006.
Moe is married to Hanaa Shahin whom he met when he moved to the United States. She is a biomedical engineer. They have four kids, Soraya (16), Yaseen (9), Mallak (3) and Zayn-Eldeen (17 months).

The Jamboree began in 1995 and has become a multi-sport fun camp with skills competitions, games, and activities. Sports and activities include soccer, basketball, capture the flag, baseball, kickball, Dr. Spie, volleyball and touch football. This camp is a great opportunity for an individual to experience and participate in the excitment of several sports and activities. Come join us for a fun filled exciting week that will surely be a summer treat.

There are several red sweatshirts and black game zip ups that have been recovered! If you have lost yours, stop by the lost and found (between rink 2 and 3) and pick it up at your convenience!
