5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Well, I sit here today-excited AND sceered- Foley, Al. Here we come!!!!
I dread getting three women-my wife, my handicapped daughter and 83 year old ma-in-law, packed and packaged and "happily/cheerfully" LOADED in the truck!
Thank God for my 2011 Ford F-150 Crew Cab-MAYBE we can fit all the luggage and supplies in the bed of the truck!!??
I am excited and SCEERED because I feel the Strong Hand of the Lord leading me into NEW battles and more strongly fortified enemy camps.
I HEAR THE SOUND OF THE ARMY OF THE LORD!!
Our God LOVES to "show off!"
As the Apostle Paul replied to the king:
Acts 26:26 (KJV)
26 For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.
God never does ANYTHING "IN A CORNER," but He wants everyone-INCLUDING HIS ENEMIES-to know and see He is at work!!!!
God takes little or none pleasure in making the strong stronger or the healthy, healthier, nor does it swell God's heart to make the rich richer or the great greater!!!
BUT God does delight in:
1 Corinthians 1:26-29 (KJV)
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
God DELIGHTS when His Davids confront the devil's Goliath s!!!
There cannot be a TESTimony without a TEST and the greater the battle, the GREATER the Victory for God!!!
I often quote to OTHERS this phrase:
"
DANGER FEARED IS FOLLY, DANGER FACED IS FREEDOM!"
But, if I can be honest and truthful here, that is MUCH easier advice and encouragement to give to YOU than swallow it myself!!
REMEMBER-MAJOR surgery is when it happens to oneself-
MINOR surgery if it is someone else!!!
Many, MANY years ago I had a rare VISION from God.
I saw MYSELF standing and FACING everything I FEARED-snakes, sharks, pain and suffering, humiliation, extreme pain and suffering.
EVERYTHING is me wanted to turn and RUN away!!!!!!!!!
But I could not.
WHY?
Because there was and IS a mass of humanity standing behind me and following me and try as I might, I could not press through the throng of hurting people.
Even worse, that same crowd of hurting souls was actually PUSHING me TOWARD the very things I feared most.
Beloved, there is NO armor for the BACK in Ephesians 6!!!
As Christians, WE ARE CALLED to run TOWARD the roar of the devil and not from!!!
As I pondered over what God was doing, this Verse came to mind in a way I had never heard it expounded:

WHY would God "PREPARE A TABLE BEFORE ME/US IN THE PRESENCE OF MINE/OUR ENEMIES"???????
I believe God wants to SHOW OFF/SHOW OUT to His and our enemies HIS providence, might, strength and GLORY!!!
BELOVED, GOD IS NOT FINISHED WITH YOU YET!!
THERE IS STILL "A WORK THAT YOU CAN DO!"
Matthew 9:36-38 (KJV)
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
ARE YOU READY TO GO FORTH AS LABOURERS INTO HIS HARVEST!!!!
