Lots of happy activity in and around Senior Access.
Cool Fundraiser at Swirl!
Thanks to all who came out May 22 for the Swirl San Anselmo fundraiser. We all enjoyed the frozen treats and appreciate the generosity of Swirl for hosting this event.
Marin Transit to Present
Wondering how to sign up and use Marin Access transportation? How it works? Get all you questions answered at our Caregiver Event on June 21 from 3:30 pm at Senior Access.  Marin Senior Care will be providing refreshments.
Every Thursday our Club members are enjoying a Chess Club
Our teacher, Chris Major, founder of the Novato Chess Club, taught our group a beginner lesson that explained how the game of chess for each individual can be a reflection of their approach to life. Chris teaches chess to children all over Marin, the extended Bay Area, and in Uganda. He shared that children eagerly learn the strategies everywhere and that as their courage and initiative grows in the game, the same thing is happening in their personal lives. Club Members were riveted by his enthusiasm and storytelling.
Caregiver Retreat Success
Caregivers enjoyed the peace and informative groups at our first Caregiver Retreat at St. Columba at Inverness. Lois Hirsch gave a presentation on "The Caregivers Journey", several participants took a hike in the beautiful weather mid-day, and after lunch Rev. Kirsten Spaulding of the Church of the Nativity led the support group portion of the program. The overwhelming feedback was not to wait a year before doing this again. Stay tuned, we are looking at options to repeat 5-6 months out.

Many thanks to all who supported our retreat and our retreat sponsors, St. Columba and Visiting Angels.
