Project Record Book Wrokday
September 27th 3:00-6:30

Project record books, achievement plans, and volunteer hours are all due to Miss. Jessica at the Extension Office by December 1st. If you are struggling to find out what area your project belongs, or feeling stuck attend our workshop and we can help you fill your forms out! this will be an interactive workshop so please make sure that you bring any material you might need; list of activities completed in 2016, pictures, etc. Click here to find project record book templates (scroll to the bottom under "4-H Project Guidelines").



County Commissioner Meeting
October 3rd 4:00

Please join us at the county commissioner meeting as we tell them about National 4-H Week and what this means to us! We will also be recognizing 4-H'ers for outstanding achievements.  

Tractor Supply Paper Clover Campaign  October 5 - 16. 

This is a great opportunity to introduce the public to 4-H! Please make a special effort to have your clubs meet at tractor supply and help sell the paper clovers. Tractor Supply doubles the amount that we sell here in our county and we get 75% of sales back in Pender County!! There is an event posted on Facebook to encourage others to attend.

Soup & Sandwich 4-H Fundraiser
October 7th, 11:30 - 2:00 

Pender County 4-H will be having a fundraiser to support the county program and provide scholarships to camp, congress, district and state events. Please sign up with Miss. Jessica to help that day! See the flyer for more details. 

Cape Fear Fair & Expo
October 28 - November 6

The  Cape Fear Fair & Expo  will be held at the Wilmington Airport starting on October 28 - November 6, 2016. This is a place where you can show off all the things you have been working on throughout the year and enter your livestock, vegetables, field crops, plants, crafts, jams and more! 4-H Clubs are  invited to participate in an education booth displaying things they have achieved and learned the past year.  Pender County 4-H will host the  4-H Goat Show  on October 29th at 9:00 a.m.  If you have a favorite crop that is grown here in North Carolina the  poster contest  is where you can help others learn too! 4-H State Council Conference
November 19th - 20th

State Council Conference is for youth ages 13-18. There will be  exciting workshops and speakers at the event. The State 4-H Officer team has selected "Give, Lead, Inspire" as the new State Council theme for the year and all of the workshops will relate to this theme. The conference will begin on Saturday at 11:45 and end Sunday at 11:45. The cost of the conference is $140.00 and includes Saturday lunch and dinner and breakfast on Sunday. Please register with Miss. Jessica by Monday October 10th.
