September 2016 Newsletter
This Saturday sees the return of The Great River Race including Deborah Price and her team aiming to raise £5000+ for the AHOY charity, supporting vulnerable young people. As of today, they have just passed £3150, so continue to welcome all donations, however small. Steve will be cooking up his usual BBQ for spectators at Brentford Dock, all in aid of the RNLI, so please don't forget to go along with some friends and buy a burger.
Just a reminder about the Moonlight Cruise on 7th October which will be leaving at around 6pm. If you would like to bring your boats or come along as crew, please let me know.
Saturday 3rd September - Great River Race BBQ
As Brentford Dock Marina has a great view just 4 miles from the finish, we will once again be holding a charity BBQ on the riverbank in aid of the RNLI. Steve will be doing the cooking as usual, so all you need to bring is some money to buy a burger and a bottle or two of your favourite tipple. The river will be closed to boating anyway, so do come along and support. Steve will be cooking from around 1pm onwards, with the first boats estimated to pass from around 2.30/3pm onwards.
Assistance setting us in the morning is always welcome, as are additional salads etc. If you are able to help out, or donate a salad etc, please liaise with Steve at firstname.lastname@example.org or give him a call on 07710-990413.
If you would like to support Deborah and her team and make a donation to the The AHOY Centre, a Watersports based Charity teaching transferable and employable skills through sailing and rowing, please click this link to
