Hurricane Isaac
Mobilizing for Relief

Heart to Heart found itself responding on two fronts as Isaac roared across Haiti as a Tropical Storm, and then just days later as it struck Louisiana as a Category One Hurricane.

Haiti: Isaac made landfall August 25th bringing high winds and drenching rains, leaving most of the country soaked and wind-battered, causing most damage in the remote mountainous Southeast.  That is where Heart to Heart is the leading NGO and is working to bring relief to those hurt by the storm.

Gulf Coast: Hurricane Isaac
pounded into the Louisiana coast on the 7th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.  While Isaac was not as strong, he did bring nearly two feet of rain causing flooding and shelters to fill with evacuees.  Heart to Heart responded with Care Kits and relief supplies.

Care Kits, Harleys & Rock-n-Roll
Unique Fundraising

A Kansas City area Rock-n-Roll band held seven concerts during the summer, collecting a few hundred Heart to Heart Care Kits and nearly $5,000 in donations.

And true to the name of the concert series, the Harley Giveaway Tour, one lucky winner rode off with a brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Show of Hands
WelchAllyn Care Kit Assembly

As part of Welch Allyn's Beacon of Quality: A Show of Hands annual event,  the company's employees at a facility in Beaverton, Oregon pitched in to assemble 2,000 Heart to Heart Care Kits.
