Greetings!
** News Flash** Just want to share some wonderful news with you -- we exceeded our Matching Fund Drive goal and raised over $26,000! Also we learned this week that OBG won a $1000 grant as the top Shelter Challenge vote-getter in the NATION last week! Both of these feats are a direct result of you, our dedicated supporters, who are so generous with both your money and time. Thanks so much!

Lulu is one of our black cockers looking for a new home.
| It's that time of year that brings about change. Daily routines are changing as kids head back to school and the days are getting a bit shorter.
Our list of cockers available for adoption is always changing too. We have many black wigglebutts in our "inventory" right now and thought you'd be interested to know this . . . did you know that black dogs are least likely to get adopted from animal shelters and rescues? That's right, for whatever reason, this is the case. Maybe it's because they're trickier to photograph and their cute mugs aren't as visible as lighter colored dogs? It's anyone's guess, but it's a little known fact we wanted to share.
Thebark.com has an article about this we found interesting, click here to read. We want to make sure you don't overlook your new best friend so be sure to check out all of our cute black cockers along with the buff, red, chocolate, parti-colored, etc!
Finally, we can't wait until our Cockers Uncorked! event which is just around the corner! Join us Saturday evening, Sept 29th for a fun-filled fundraiser. See below for more details!
And we have an exciting wine-related announcement -- OBG's very own Wigglebutt Wines will be available in the next week or two for $20 a bottle, $6 of which will be donated to OBG! We have six of the cutest cocker labels you've ever seen on six varietals. Here's a sneak peak at one of the labels. Too cute! Stay tuned for more info.
As always, we thank you for supporting OBG!

Pepper & Sunny are a dynamic duo looking for you! This pair is in need of a Foster or Adoptive home!!

OBG's Cocker Angel:
Richard Harrison

There is so much Richard has done for OBG, it's hard to know where to begin!
We are thankful for his volunteer work and the many services he's provided to OBG. His outstanding photography and faithful attendance at many of our events have produced some priceless images of our furry friends at their best.
Richard has driven countless transports, which are vital to getting needy pups to us and also getting them to vet appointments. In addition to all of this, Richard has fostered some of our more challenging four-legged friends who just needed someone who cared. He's done an amazing job providing these pups with TLC, training and love.
We are forever grateful.

Love dog-friendly jewelry and supporting OBG at the same time?!
If so, mark your calendar. For one day only, Friday, Sept 14th, you can do just that! There are two parts to this fun fundraiser:
First, there will be special custom designed jewelry up for auction on the Three Scoops of Vanilla facebook page on Sept 14th. The highest bidder when the auctions close at 5pm MDT is the only person allowed to buy each custom pieces AND OBG gets 50% of the winning bid!
Second, visit Three Scoops of Vanilla's website and check out the custom rescue-friendly jewelry -- especially the Rainbow Bridge and Foster Failure bracelets.
