MPL's Memory Project
One of the goals of a library is to preserve the memories of the community it serves. This was true of the papyrus scrolls stored in the ancient Library of Alexandria, and is equally true today. The Meredith Public Library has been active in this for a number of years with an extensive run of the

, books on local history, blueprints, scrapbooks, and yearbooks.
In recent years, there has been extensive growth in digital content creation and crowd-sourced projects. The library hopes to combine our mission of preservation with this growing trend, and in September the library will be launching our Planting Memories website as part of our celebration of Library Card Signup Month. If you have stories about the library or how it impacted your life or a family member's life, we hope that you will share it with us. If there are photos you would like to have on our website, we also have the ability to put these on our website.

From here you can view what others have shared, or submit your own content. ~Matthew Gunby
