ABC's Asset Ambassadors
promote Asset #5 Caring School Climate


Stratford's Asset Building Classrooms (ABC) Asset Ambassadors are promoting Asset #5: Caring School Climate in September and October as their Asset of the Month.



Community Updates:
  • As of September 30, 2016, the Medication Drop Box has successfully collected and properly di sposed of  3 ,100.2 pounds of medications since October 2013.
  • Stratford Community Services offers their 2016 Fall groups, click here.
  • Sterling House Community Center has welcomed new Development Director, Christopher Carroll. A new volunteer program, Rake & Shovel, begins this fall to assist those in the community who are unable to rake leaves or shovel snow on their own.
  • One Book Stratford will be hosting numerous events related to the book, Gaining Ground, by Forrest Pritchard at the Stratford Library.
  • South End Community Center is now accepting donations for the food pantry. Head Start program is accepting children, ages 3 and 4, limited space is available. Also, SECC will be developing a Strategic Plan. 
  • CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction  Services toll-free number to connect those seeking treatment for an opioid addiction to walk-in assessment centers is-- 1-800-563-4086.For a complete list of walk-in assessment centers and their hours, please visit:   www.ct.gov/dmhas/walkins .
