First Friday Garden Walk at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park

J oin us for this ranger led walk where you will learn about the history of our park while exploring the beauty of the formal gardens.  The walk is approximately 1 hour.  Please bring sunscreen and water, and 
 wear comfortable walking shoes! (We have construction occurring in some Garden areas, please excuse our mess as we continue these upgrades.)

Meet in the Garden parking lot.

Second Saturday Plant Sale

Our September plant sale will specialize in Florida Friendly Plants.  Plants will be sold from our Greenhouse and fenced yard area while we anticipate the opening of our new plant bench structure!  Thank-you for your continued support as we make these upgrades.  
 
This month our 11am "Plant Chat" will feature Container Gardening, and our team will demonstrate the "filler-spiller-thriller" technique. This technique will assist you with assembling combinations of color, texture, and form to create pleasing potted plants for the garden, patio, and interior of your home.

Join a Ranger at Faver-Dykes State Park for a Trail Walk to learn about the unique history and natural resources of this hidden gem!
 
When: Saturday, September 17th
10am

 

Visitors meet at the Ranger Station.  Walk included with park entry.  Please bring water, bug spray, and wear comfortable shoes.

Yoga in the Gardens
 
 
Mondays in October, 9-10:30 at Washington Oaks   
(October
  3rd, 10th, 17th  and 24th)        
 
Join us for this all-level, gentle yoga class incorporating meditation, breathing exercises, and gentle movement.  

Instructor Jillian Davis, E-RYT 200 LMT, has been teaching classes for 10 years.  Practicing yoga outside in the peaceful setting of Washington Oaks allows a connection to nature while discovering what yoga can do for you.
