Do You Have Your Mini-Golf Tickets Yet?
In just 3 weeks, the Beverly Public Library will be transformed into an 18-hole miniature golf course for a fantastic FUN-draiser to benefit our Teen Renovation Project . Greens and holes will wind through the stacks and down the stairs! There's an option for everyone:

Adult Par-Tee (18+): Saturday, September 23 from 7 - 9 PM
Putt your way through the library after hours while enjoying music, refreshments and a cash bar (beer and wine). $30 per person.  Register here

Fore! Families: Sunday, September 24 from 10 AM - 1 PM
A "hole" lot of fun for your mini-family members and folks of all ages! $5 per person.  Register here

Labor Day Weekend
Library Closed Labor Day
The main library and the Farms branch will be closed Monday, September 4 for the Labor Day holiday. The main library will also be closed Saturday, September 2. The main library is closed on Sundays, and the Farms branch is closed on Saturdays, through September.
Extended Weekend Hours Return
Our extended weekend hours will resume on Sunday, October 1. Expanded weekend hours will continue until Memorial Day 2018.
  • Main library: Sunday hours (1 - 5 PM) resume on Sunday, October 1, 2017.
  • Farms branch: Saturday hours (10 AM - 5 PM) resume on Saturday, October 7, 2017. The Farms branch is always closed on Sundays.
  • Columbus Day: Both library locations will be closed on Monday, October 9, 2017.

The main library’s Reference Department offers 1-hour, individual assistance on Tuesday evenings by appointment. Monday Mornings Returns

Monday Mornings is a weekly lecture series for senior adults that runs in the spring and fall months at the main library. Join us for the opening fall program, "Wooden Ships & Iron Men," on Monday, September 11. Bob Begin will tell us about the brilliant performance of the USS Constitution (launched in 1797!) during the War of 1812. Free, no signup needed. Light refreshments at 9 AM. Topsfield Fair Prize Packets must be picked up by 12 PM (noon) on Friday, September 8, 2017. Prize Packets will not be available after this date!

Are you looking for a place and time for creative writing practice? In this free workshop, participants will explore the art and craft of writing, using unique creative writing prompts to keep that pen moving. Artist Reception and Open Mic: Wednesday, September 20 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM
View a collection of 249 art cups by Beverly resident and story teller Tony Toledo. Tony uses Sharpie markers and his imagination to transform white "to go" coffee cups into tiny curved canvases. Pick up any cup and read the bottom to get answers to questions you might have about Tony's work! The exhibit and Artist Reception and open mic are free and open to all.

Author Olga Morrill will discuss her book and research about Quakers in early Massachusetts Bay Colony – a dangerous time and place to be a Quaker. Autographed copies of Olga’s book will be available for purchase.
