Presenter: Dana Pardee
Dana Pardee received his degree in Community Health Sciences from the University of Nevada, Reno. He is currently the Director of Epidemiology Projects at The Fenway Institute at Fenway Health in Boston, MA. In this role, he oversees the development, implementation, and operations of multiple transgender health studies, with particular focus on preventive sexual health screening, and development and implementation of HIV prevention interventions with transgender individuals. Dana is also acts as a consulting trainer for the National LGBT Health Education Center at Fenway Health, and assists with the conduct of LGBTQ cultural competency trainings throughout New England.
Dana is an out-and-proud transgender man who has been working on behalf of the transgender community for many years, both in Boston and in his home state of Nevada, where he helped conduct the first ever needs assessment of the transgender community in Nevada. Dana is passionate about promoting transgender health education, awareness, access, and compassion within the healthcare industry and beyond.

Project ECHO Training on Sickle Cell Disease

The training will be led by the American Academy of Pediatrics, a Project ECHO Superhub and will be designed specifically for organizations interested in using the ECHO model in their own settings to improve the health care of individuals living with sickle cell disease (SCD). The ECHO model increases access to specialty treatment in rural and under-served areas by building capacity among front-line physicians to identify, treat, and manage the care of patients with complex conditions.
Attendance is free but space is limited and will be available in order of response. Please RSVP by August 25th to Mandip Kaur at [email protected] and include a brief description of your organization's proposed strategy for using Project ECHO to improve care for patients with SCD.
