THE RELEVANT RECAP
Dear Chamber & Community Friends,
We are pleased to have had an integral role in the passage in Proposition A on August 25
th
. With the support of Houston Stronger and energetic community activists (Tom Petrick, Al Haines, George Peckham, Sam Harless and Paul Eschenfelder to name a few) signs were distributed, flyers were posted, speeches were delivered and we believe the very spirit that moved us to help each other a year ago also brought us together to vote for a Bond that will go a long way to protect us against further flooding events.
The passage of the Bond raises more questions now and the Houston Northwest Chamber wants to bring you some answers. On Thursday, September 20, 2018 6:30-8:00 pm at the Cypress Creek Christian Church Forum, we will host a
Flood Information Forum
with the support of Harris County Pct. 4 Commissioner R. Jack Cagle, Harris County Flood Control Operations Director Matt Zeve and a to-be-named US Army Corp of Engineers representative. The Forum is entitled
“Prop A Passed – Next Steps?”
All are welcome to attend this informational session. See you there.
Sincerely,
Barbara Thomason
President
Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce

HIGHEST & BEST USE
GROWING WEALTH | GROWING LIVES
with Bobby Lieb
The deteriorating condition of businesses and commercial properties along Cypress Creek Parkway (FM 1960) is a topic of frequent discussion within the halls of the Chamber of Commerce and around the community. Over the last decade, the Chamber has contracted several studies to assess and suggest remedies to improve this condition.
There are a number of factors contributing to this problem, two of which are macro in scale and the other is simply a function of supply and demand...
