Dance Shop Hours
Our dance shop is open most afternoons and evenings when we have dance classes as well as Saturday mornings, but hours do vary from week to week. Hours are updated each Monday and posted online at TheDanceCorner.com.
If you ordered shoes and dancewear for class and haven't picked it up yet, you can get it in our dance shop this week. When the shop is closed, Miss Carrie will have special order items available for pick up in the dance studios.
Due to the number of families arriving and leaving at the same time, the parking lot can become very congested. If you are planning on staying during your child's class, please park behind the building, in front of the annex studio or in the side parking spots by our shop - there's ample room. The rear center door will be open during classes. We suggest driving around back, dropping off and then exiting onto Route 80. Please do not park in front of other businesses in the complex. The parking area in front of Proto's Apizza should be used for drop offs and pick ups only.
PLEASE SLOW DOWN IN THE PARKING LOT. THERE ARE MANY PEDESTRIANS CROSSING THROUGH THE LOT BETWEEN CLASSES.

The Dance Corner invites all students to try a class free. Not sure if you like Lyrical...try a class! Any of our fall classes that are not full are available for free trials. Please contact Miss Carrie by phone or email if you would like to try a new class this fall.

A $10 late fee will be applied to any monthly or semi-annual payments not received by the 15th of the month. Also, there is a $25 charge for returned checks. The Dance Corner accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover, allowing you to have your tuition bill paid automatically each month. See Miss Carrie for details.

You may be wondering why there haven't been any announcements about the holiday show yet. Unfortunately for us, the Clinton Town Hall Auditorium is undergoing a major renovation this winter and is not available for our performance. We were unable to find another appropriate and affordable venue for The Winter Follies, so we are taking a year off.
The good news is that we will perform the 2013 Winter Follies in a fabulous, upgraded facility!
We are looking for other performance opportunities for our students this winter- holiday festivals, village strolls, convalescent homes, etc. If you have information about any events our dancers could participate in, please contact Miss Nicole. You can email her at

Sadly Miss Tonya and Miss Kristen are no longer teaching at the studio. We will miss them
and wish them the best of luck. The rest of our teaching staff is still here and we are excited to add two talented new teachers to our staff.
Gail Hartnett taught at The Dance Corner over 5 years ago and is back! She brings 10+ years experience teaching dance to the Dance Corner. Her training includes eleven years of study in ballet, jazz, and tap in Springfield, New Jersey, including a year at the Garden State Ballet School. She continued to study ballet at Bucknell University, where she majored in biology, including coursework in Anatomy & Physiology, and Early Child Development, and she performed with the Bucknell Dance Company. As a graduate student at Yale University, she studied ballet with Noble Barker at the New Haven Ballet. She also spent several years studying modern dance and performing with the Paul Hall Contemporary Dance Theatre. Gail completed her Ph.D. in biology, and currently teaches biology for Yale Summer Session and University of New Haven. She has been on the staff of New Haven Ballet since 2004, where she has taught students from age 4 through adults. She brings her passion and enthusiasm for dance, as well as enjoyment in working with kids, to The Dance Corner!
Gail will teach 1st & 2nd grade Ballet and 2nd & 3rd grade Ballet
Savanna Bodnar has been a familiar face at our annual Dance Company auditions the past couple of years. Now she will be teaching as well!
Savanna trained at The Dance Connection in East Haven, CT. She has taught ballet, jazz and lyrical at Jump Dance Center in Pelham NY, Breaking Ground Dance Center in Pleasantville NY, and The Dance Connection in East Haven. She holds her B.A. in History from Manhattanville College.
During her time there she was a featured dancer for many original student pieces and also worked with accomplished choreographers Nicholas Leichter, Arthur Fredrick, Doug Elkins, and Stacey Forsyth Mahan. She competed as part of the US Showdance Team for 3 years, and took home a Silver Medal in the Adult Group category in 2009.
Savanna will be teaching Ballet C and Pointe on Tuesday nights.
I hope you will all give these ladies a big welcome. We are thrilled to have them join our team!
One more staffing change this season is that Miss Nicole is now acting as the Assistant to the Director. She will be taking on more administrative responsibilities at the studio in addition to teaching, so you will be seeing more of her!
