September 2016 E-REFLECTIONS

   Wednesday Nights Return September 14!

We have had an interesting summer together with our sanctuary renovation happening. While we are all excited to get our sanctuary finished, we still have some time to wait. In the meantime, we want to get our Wednesday Night gatherings back in action. Since we are still worshiping in the gym, we are going to start this year a little differently. The biggest difference is that we will be serving dinner in two locations, the Fellowship Hall and the CAC Dining Room, to handle the crowd. Our children's choir and youth ministries will still have their normal activities. However, our adult gatherings will be in the gym for a time of worship, celebrating what God is doing in and through Lakewood. We will have music and testimonies that will inspire all of us. Please understand that this schedul e is only for the Wednesday Nights in September beginning on the 14th. We hope to offer a variety of small group opportunities beginning in October.

Schedule:

5:15 pm - 6:00 pm:  Dinner -  Fellowship Hall and the CAC Dining Room

6:00 pm - 6:30 pm:  Children's Choir -  Sonbeams (pre-K, K, and 1st grade) meet in the Dramatic Playroom in the Children's Building. Praise Factor (2nd grade - 6th grade) meets in the Choir Room.

In general, the fund is intended for church projects or purposes that are not general operating expenses covered by the annual operating budget.  Requests that are intended to supplement programs and ministries are appropriate. Applications are available in the church office and will be accepted September 1 - 30. Completed forms should be returned to the office manager, Melanie Evans.
