#CharacterDay2016!

Today many MVSD students and teachers had the opportunity to celebrate #CharacterDay2016, along with almost 90,000 schools across the world!

Character Day was established by a Mill Valley School District parent, Tiffany Shlain, and her team at Let It Ripple and The Moxie Institute. Through Character Day, communities are acquiring the tools they need to develop character traits such as resiliency, humility, grit, empathy, and many more!

Character development doesn't have to end today, visit http://www.letitripple.org/character-day/ to learn more about Character (Every) Day!

District Goals and Action Plans for 2016-17
As we begin the school year, we want to share with you our Strategic Plan, a roadmap to this year's plans and innovations in the district.

This plan includes critical components that were identified, shared and revised based on input from stakeholders: parents, staff, students, and the Board of Trustee.

Receive Text Messages from the District When There is an Emergency

Last March, in an effort to better communicate with our parents in case of an emergency, the district introduced SMS texting capabilities.

If you are interested in opting-in to this service, you will need to text the word "YES" to 68453 - it's that simple! You will receive a text message from our provider "School Messenger" letting you know that you are registered.

Please note this system will only be used for emergency announcements.
