We are excited to introduce our next Wisdom Workshop! Wisdom Workshops are free information workshops for seniors based on a variety of topics. Come to learn something new! Registration is not required.
  
Aging and Adult Services

The Information and Assitance (I&A) is a program of Contra Costa County Area Agency on Aging. I&A is a telephone helpline that serves as the main point of entry to get information about resources to help senior maintain their independence. I&A is staffed by experienced and knowledgable Social Workers trained to do comprehensive assessment; pinpoint services and benefits to specific individuals' situations; counsel and empower individuals to make informed decisions about their care; advocate for at risk and vulnerable individuals to help them obtain services and benefits; and follow-up, when necessary, to ensure their needs are met.

Meditating in a group is a healthy way to socialize and learn a new skill that is good for our mind, body, and spirit. City of Orinda Meditation Instructor, Mojgan Kaviani, will address how meditation can assist with improving your overall health. Attend this informative workshop to learn how meditation can help you. Senior Tech Help
Juniors4Seniors
    
Saturdays, from 11:00am-12:00pm
Orinda Community Center- Gallery Room

Juniors4Seniors is a group of high school students who volunteer their time by providing meaningful services to their communities with a focus on providing support for seniors. The goal of this group of motivated students is to build connections with the community and create intra-generational relationships. Co-Managing Directors, Reagan Tierney and Mary Kate Henderson, will be on hand to assist seniors with computer skills, social media, arts & crafts, social events and much more here at the Orinda Community Center.
Chess Club
 
Saturdays, from 9:00am-11:00am, September- June
Orinda Community Center, Ages 60Y and up
 
Come and join our friendly chess tournaments that are open to all levels! It is important to mention both the social and mental health benefits that the game of chess presents. The club is a great way to get to know people better around the Orinda community as well as stimulating brain activity, keeping you involved and active!



Senior Trip
Levi's Stadium Tour
Friday, September 16th, from 10:00am-4:00pm
$75 (res)/$86 (non)
  
Come and enjoy a private guided tour of the San Francisco 49ers stadium in Santa Clara! The Levi's Stadium Tour includes the premium club spaces, private suites, press level, NRG Solar Terrace and the field and locker rooms. Admission includes a self-guided visit to the 49ers Museum and time to shop at the 49ers store. Lunch is included and will be provided by Michael Mina's Bourbon and Steak Pub located on the ground level of Levi's Stadium. Trip cost includes transportation, admission fees and lunch.
