NCAF&E Fall Seminar
Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017
The upcoming Fall Seminar will take place Wednesday, September 6 from 10AM until 4PM at the Cary Theater in downtown Cary, NC. 

There will be great educational sessions and networking opportunities. Topics include:

Speaker Highlights:
Weather Preparedness- Randy Jackson

A graduate of Southern Illinois University, Randy spent over twenty years as the chief meteorologist at WFMY-TV in Greensboro. He has also worked as a freelance meteorologist at Fox 8 WGHP-TV in High Point and provided forecasts for a variety of local radio stations over the years. In addition to his teaching duties that span the state, Randy works with Appalachian State University as a sports broadcaster. Randy is a dynamic and inviting speaker, teaching continuing education classes that deal directly with insurance-related weather topics and issues. Jackson is a "Certified Lightning Safety Professional" and has worked with a variety of groups ranging from large companies to educational institutions in preparing for severe weather events.
Access - Take it Outside! - Betsy Ludwig

Betsy is the Executive Director of Arts Access, a NC nonprofit that is committed to making the arts accessible to people with disabilities ( www.artsaccessinc.org ) She brings more than twenty five years of experience working with children and adults with disabilities in arts, education and clinical settings. She has worked as a social worker, recreation therapist, educator/trainer and non-profit administrator at UNC-Chapel Hill, Durham Public Schools, NC Autism Society, North Carolina Central University and Community Partnerships. She has a BA in Sociology from Salem College and an MS in Therapeutic Recreation from UNC-Chapel Hill and completed a certificate program at NYU in Arts Management. For Arts Access she has led workshops on inclusion and ADA accommodations for arts and cultural organizations around the state.
Taking Social Media to the Next Level! - Stefanie Jones

Stefanie Jones is the volunteer Marketing Coordinator for the NC Whirligig Festival. Securing a Bronze Kaleidoscope Award in Best Social Media from the Southeast Festival & Events Association. She is a graduate of University North Carolina Wilmington and is currently the Communications Specialist for the City of Wilson. She oversees or has a hand in managing four websites and several accounts in Facebook, Twitter, Google+/ You Tube, Instagram and Pinterest. Digital marketing is a passion for Stefanie and she loves bringing her experience to the NC Whirligig Festival committee.
