Special Programming Series

Illinois Reads

The Moline Public Library will serve as a host site for programming in conjunction with the Illinois Reading Council's Illinois Reads initiative. The yearly statewide project promotes reading for all Illinois citizens.  The Council selects 6 books in each age group from birth through adult readers and work of Illinois authors is especially highlighted. For more information on the 6-part series, visit: IL READS

A funding partnership with the Krista Kruse Memorial Fund through The Moline Foundation assures adequate funding is available to support the program locally.

New Face (sort of) @ the Library

There's a new face in our Children's Department. Miss Jessica began working at the Library just in time for August's Harry Potter program (her favorite fantasy series!).  Regular patrons may recognize Jessica as a former Moline Public Library intern.
A Quad Cities native, s he is working toward a Master's degree in Library Science through the UW-Madison with an emphasis on youth services. Her family includes two fur babies, Tigger and Salem.
We are very excited to having Jessica back on board with us.

It's not too soon to book for
holiday gatherings

The Library offers community meeting spaces for a variety of events from small meetings to large programs. For guidelines and nominal fee schedule, visit: Meeting Room Info
To reserve a room, visit: MEETING ROOM CALENDAR
