Announcing 2018 What's Next Boomer Business Summit in San Francisco!
       
After an extremely successful Silicon Valley Boomer Venture Summit this past summer, we are delighted to announce the dates for our 2018 What's Next Boomer Business Summit which will take place in conjunction with the American Society on Aging's Annual Conference

The Boomer Summit will take place during ASA's Conference,  March 26-29, 2018 in San Francisco, California.  We hope to see you there!

The Economist Business of Longevity Event

Mary is thrilled to speaking on November 1st at The Economist's Business of Longevity event in New York City.  Chaired by Economist  editors, the event will bring together leaders from financial services, insurance, risk management and policy to discuss how best to adapt financial products, create new business strategies and re-align public policies to capitalize on the longevity economy.

Thrive Innovation Center Grand Opening 

Last month, the Thrive Innovation Center in Kentucky shared a press release announcing their grand opening for October 19, 2018.  The Center is a nonprofit innovation center focused on the needs of the aging population.  Its mission is to transform the quality of life and quality of care through innovation that promotes healthy aging. 

MFA is proud to be an advisor to the Center. T hrough a public-private partnership, the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Louisville Metro, along with IT solutions provider CDW Healthcare, technology companies Samsung, Intel, Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company, Lenovo, Ergotron and key healthcare stakeholders have worked together to launch the Thrive Innovation Center. Online Caregiver Smile Summit 

The 5-day Caregiver Smile Summit starts on October 30th. You can sign up for individual days or purchase an all access pass here

This virtual conference will provide practical knowledge on becoming a better caregiver. More than 50 experts in the health, aging and caregiving field, including Mary Furlong, will address important topics you need to know as a caregiver.

 
The Stanford Center on Longevity Design Challenge

This year's design challenge is "Promoting Lifelong Healthy Habits through Design" and the Stanford Center on Longevity will be accepting applications until December 1, 2017.


The Design Challenge offers $17,000 in cash prizes and free entrepreneur mentorship in a competition open to all university students around the world who want to design products and services which optimize long life for us all.

For most of my career, the number one issue that has been of concern is the issue of social isolation and older adults.
