| FUN SOCIAL EVENT FOR THE FAMILY THIS SUNDAY
Join us at the Residence of the Australian Consul General in Los Angeles for BBQ, drinks and great entertainment. Tickets are only $25 and can be purchased here. Kids under 16 are free. What a great way to show your support for netball and allow us to continue to support our members by helping obtain grants and providing coaches and equipment to run our "Let's Move the Youth" programs.
You can have a chance to participate in a netball shooting competition, get a golf swing analysis done and there will be fantastic auction and raffle items. You have a chance to get a Wrigley rooftop experience, trip for 2 to Cancun, be a NASCAR driver for the day, fantastic art by Stephen Rowe Art, a golfing experience in Indian Wells and even have a personnel shopper with $1000 spending money for a day!! Also, get ready for winter with some Aussie made designer style UGG boots provided by Sheila Style.
Beer, wine and soda is provided along with a tasty BBQ. Dessert will be provided by the Bronzed Aussie.
Featuring 2011's Australia's Got Talent Winner - Jack Vidgen. Not only did his debut album go platinum but he's performed at Caesars Palace to sold out crowds, performed on Hunan TV China and was artist of the week on Brazil radio. He's wowed the crowds at GDay USA LA, New York and Houston Galas and you are in for a treat, he will amaze you with his dulcet tones and warm sincerity.
Joining Jack will be comedian genius Jackie Loeb who is one of today's most hilarious and multi talented stand-up comedians. Having performed at international comedy festivals, appeared on UK and Australian TV most notably a series regular and writer on the award winning series 'Full Frontal', which is Australia's answer to Saturday Night Live.
Throughout the evening you'll be entertained with the music by Stephen Rowe & Band. Stephen is a country music singer/songwriter, signed to Red Rebel Music and his single duet with Australia's Queen of Country Music, Tania Kernaghan "Let's Fall in Love Again" went to the top of Australian Country charts. You will also be fortunate to have the chance to bid on one of Stephen's great art works.
To round off the evening we have a beautiful Puerto Rican actress and comedian Brenda Lamberty who will keep us entertained as Emcee throughout the afternoon. Brenda not only loves to make people laugh by being a standup comedian but she also appeared on a webisode with Jason Bateman and is soon appearing in the movie "The Young Kieslowski".

 U.S. OPEN - FINAL REGISTRATION CLOSING SOON
How exciting to have the U.S. Open event nearly sold out - we anticipate closing registration very soon. There are still some spots for individuals in both Division 1 and Division 2 ladies teams. There is 1 spot open in the Division 1 ladies and Mixed categories. All teams, individuals and volunteers can register here. You can read more information on the event homepage.
HOTEL - The early bird rate finishes September 30th and there are no other hotels in the vicinity that are cheaper or of the same quality. You need to get your reservations in ASAP by emailing Tania. A credit card is required for reservation however no charges are made until you check out. Rooms can always be cancelled without penalty, however as the hotel is sold out, our room block will expire September 30th and no extensions are available.
USA ALL STAR TEAMS - The event will be highlighted by having the All Stars USA West Coast team vs Canada and the All Stars USA East Coast team vs the Caribbean play off in a stadium arena. Games will commence 6.30pm on Friday November 8th. Anyone wanting to play on these USA representative teams will need to complete this application form and return to the VP of Olympics. Note all USA players will need to be paid up Netball America members and have registered to play in the U.S. Open. Transportation will be provided to/from event hotel.
U.S. OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP BALL -  Be sure to get your limited edition pink U.S. Open ball for $25. If you would like to pre-order a ball for pickup at the Open then you can save $5 - place U.S. Open pickup order here.
CLINICS - Commencing 3pm Friday November 9th we will be hosting an umpires, coaches and players clinic. The umpires clinic will be hosted by a top Canadian umpire and will cover umpiring techniques; rules and protocols. This clinic is mandatory for tournament umpires. The coaching and players clinic will be hosted by 2 international coaches. Detailed outline of clinics will be provided on registration. Clinics are free to registered U.S. Open participants. RSVP is essential by emailing us.
SATURDAY VIP DINNER - Join us on Saturday November 9th for our 5 year anniversary celebratory dinner at 6.30pm. Dinner and transportation to/from event hotel is included for all registered U.S. Open participants. The event will be held in Marietta and anyone wanting to join can register for $30 at this link.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - Members please RSVP to attend the Annual General Meeting. This will be held 1-3pm on Friday November 9th and all transportation from the hotel to venue will be provided.

LA LA LAND TOURNAMENT - LOS ANGELES
Leading up to the World Netball Festival is the Los Angeles Waves Annual Tournament Saturday October 5th from 8.30am. Any teams or volunteers attending the World Netball Festival are invited to attend. Netball America is supporting the event with 3 umpires from around the nation.

WORLDWIDE DAY OF PLAY
As a partner with Nickelodeon Kids TV Netball America was invited to participate in the Worldwide Day of Play and Nick stars ventured out to our events to learn about Netball. Netball America clubs in New York, Texas and Georgia participated and President Sonya was able to attend the official event with a member of the President's Council on Fitness, Health and Nutrition in NYC Saturday September 21.
