Located at 450 N. Euclid Ave., the Upland Public Library (www.ci.upland.ca.us) has served the residents of Upland and surrounding communities since 1913. Today its collections comprise over 160,000 items in traditional and modern formats: books, eBooks, magazines, newspapers, audiobooks, music CDs, and DVDs. The public may access the Internet and library-selected commercial databases on 16 workstations or via the free wireless network. Library visitors enjoy a variety of programs for adults, teens, and children, including book discussion groups, storytimes, professional performances, one-on-one literacy tutoring, and an annual summer reading program. The Library is next door to its former home, the historically restored Carnegie Cultural Center at 123 D St., which now houses the Literacy Department, (909) 931-4212, and the Passports Office, (909) 931-4325 (by appointment only).
