Sherry Turner Receives Award from Gov. Jay Nixon  

 

 

Sherry Turner, founder of the OneKC for Women alliance, was presented with the Missouri Women's Council Award of Distinction for her dedication in assisting women on their quest to professional, financial and personal self-sufficiency at the 2015 Governor's Conference on Economic Development in St. Louis last week.  Governor Nixon recognized Ms. Turner's impact in our community, along with other outstanding leaders in business, community engagement and economic development.   Read more...
 


2015 Kansas City Techweek 100 Announced  
 
Techweek recently announced the 2015 Kansas City Techweek 100 and Women's Capital Connection (WCC) Network Manager, Kelly Sievers Pruneau, makes the list.


The Techweek100 identifies leaders who have made a significant impact on the technology and inn ovation ecosystem in which they operate. The Techweek100 includes leaders of fast-growing tech companies, prominent investors, key enablers of the digital ecosystem, creators of new technologies, and other innovators that make important contributions to their field. 

"Our job is simplified due to the hard work of Network Manager, Kelly Pruneau," said Sherry Turner, founder of OneKC for Women and the Women's Capital Connection. "Kelly helps women entrepreneurs prepare for their investment pitch and makes sure the deal is truly fundable for the investor review. KC Chamber Announces ATHENA Award Winners 

 

The KC Chamber has announced recipients of the 2015 ATHENA Awards to be celebrated at a reception on October 8 at the Westin Crown Center.  Dianne Cleaver, Executive Director of the Urban Neighborhood Initiative will receive the ATHENA Leadership Award.  Sunita Lavin, Project Manager for Garmin, will receive the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award.  For more information about the award recipients and awards reception, visit the KC Chamber.
