HIGHLIGHTS OF SEPTEMBER ACTIVITIES

WE PLAY TOGETHER

We have watched many videos that show the children many ways that they can play together at Extension. I have shared with Mr. Boyle many stories of some of the special times where the children have lived WPT in Extension. We had a pizza party on Friday to celebrate ALL of their many accomplishments.

Here are a few stories:

One of our new kindergarten students, Mila thought some of the 6th Graders were laughing at her. She was very upset. I went over to them and asked them to come and explain to her that they were not laughing at her. Priya , Maggie, and Kaitlin came over and were BRILLIANT. They explained to Mila that it was the boys joking around and they would never laugh at her. They talked about what a beautiful young lady she is. When it was all done, they all were hugging and the 6th graders and Mila were new friends.

Jack, Ryan, Jagger, and Charles were sitting at a table working on their comic books and Gary came over to show them his drawing of batteries. All of these young men where kind to Gary and checked out his drawing. Good job Guys!

Madeline was inside when a new kindergartener, Braden came inside crying. He was missing his parents and wanted to be picked up. Madeline took him under her wing and played with him until his grandfather arrived. Great job Madeline!

PRAYER FLAGS FOR HURRICANE VICTIMS
We made 30 prayer flags that are being flown in the Garden. Each child wrote in watercolor their prayer and then painted the rest in acrylic. When the rains come, their prayers will run off their flags and onto Mother Earth, sending their prayers across the land.

Go up to the Garden and see their beautiful works of art and heart.

SOME OF THEIR PRAYERS
