From Our Executive Director

Dear Friends,

Did you know some nations such as Australia and Uruguay require citizens to vote? While I am not advocating we enact similar laws, it is a reminder to all of us of the beauty of living in a democracy where people can exercise their right to vote.  While it is only September, I encourage you to be prepared to participate in this year's general election on Tuesday, November 6th for both Ohio and Kentucky. Here are a few snippets to help you:
  • September 25 is National Voter Registration Day. Please click here for additional information on how you can easily register online. Our CILO staff team can assist consumers with voting as permitted by law by verifying voter registration, helping with an address change, and identifying your polling location
  • October 9 is the last day to register to vote in Ohio and Kentucky for the November election
  • Here are links to additional election information: Ohio Kentucky
  • Polls are open in Ohio on November 6th from 6:30am until 7:30pm
  • Polls are open in Kentucky on November 6th from 6am until 6pm
  • Rights of voters with disabilities

Please let me know how we can be of any assistance to you, and please VOTE!

Regards,

Rob Festenstein
