Management Review
September 2016
From Tony Castiglie, Vice President & Treasurer
After 5 relatively slow months, August turned out to be very productive.  The 249 missions we ran was the 2nd busiest August ever, just 1 behind last year.  Our annual total is 1,649 & keeps us on track to hit our goal of 2,500 for the year.  We also hit a real milestone during August chalking up Mission Number 20,000, a real accomplishment.  Every volunteer should take pride in realizing that you help make that happen.
Thus far during 2016, 89 volunteers have run missions.  The leaders - Paulette Blackburn (140), Charles Whitworth (140), Richard Chidlow (125), Charles Gibson (84) & Ruthanne Bowser (74) - are showing the way.   Thanks to all who run missions.
We continue in our ability to satisfy most mission requests but we hope to do better.  Our fulfillment rate for the year is 92%, over our stated goal of 95%.  Usually, those missions not chosen by volunteers are those either late into the night or very early in the morning.
Two new volunteers joined us during August, David LaFargue & Emma Scott.  David resides in Humble & Scottie lives in Southwest Houston.  Both David & Scottie were formally with Angel Flight South Central's Ground Crew so they "know ropes".  Welcome aboard!
To every volunteer, "Thank You" for being part of this wonderful organization and making it the success that it is.  Our expectation is that 2016 will be another great year ever!

Upcoming Events

All Volunteers and spouses are invited to

a Coffee and Private Tour of
NRG Stadium

NRG Stadium Coffee and Tour
Friday, October 7, 2016,
9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

We will meet on the second floor, via escalator or elevator, of NRG Hall, which is a lovely area, with windows overlooking NRG Stadium and the Astrodome. We will have coffee and lite snacks, then tour NRG Stadium. We will tour the press box, visiting teams locker room (Texans will be in theirs), field, club boxes, etc. When you RSVP, I will send you a parking pass, and directions. Even though the walking will not that much, it still might be a good idea to where tennis shoes. Parking will be very, very close to the building and NRG stadium is just across the driveway from where we will be having the coffee.  I previewed the site and found it to be fun and interesting. Please RSVP as soon as possible, hopefully within the week.
