President's Letter
September 2017
Peace and Greetings:
And we're off ... excited about the possibilities a new year brings and the inspiring moments of greatness our students will achieve, each in their own unique way utilizing the gifts God has bestowed on them.
As reported last week, opening day enrollment is 460 students, our targeted capacity, and the highest in nearly thirty years. This is something all of us can be proud of. Thank you again for choosing St. Paul and the trust you place in us as your educational partner.
A few housekeeping items that need your attention: (1) It is imperative, if you haven't already, that your Emergency Information Card and SPCHS Information Form (Emergency Parent Reach) be returned no later than Monday, September 11. We will be conducting our emergency lockdown procedures and testing our parent notification system soon. (2) You are expected to read and discuss with your child the Student Handbook, located on our website before printing, signing and returning the Agreement for Students and Parents (found under the Student Life tab).
A few important September parent events:

An important Athletic Parent Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium for all parents/guardians whose child plans to participate on a St. Paul athletic team (varsity or sub-varsity) this school year. Our annual Parent Back-to-School Night will follow the Athletic Parent Meeting from 6:30 - 8:45 p.m. Following a brief welcome, you will have the opportunity to meet your child's teachers. A parent/guardian from every family is encouraged to attend.
Our first "Open House" for prospective students for the Class of 2022 will be Saturday, September 23 at 10:00 am. You are our best ambassadors and we are truly grateful for your encouraging testimonials to prospective families and friends in your local community.
On Monday, September 25 we will celebrate "Family Day: A Day to Eat With Your Children." Students and faculty will share a special lunch together at St. Paul. It is important that we instill in our students the value of a family meal and the conversations that are shared. Please reinforce this theme at home with a special family breakfast or dinner on that day.
Academic classes are in full swing. The welcome back dance is tomorrow night. Fall athletic teams begin interscholastic competition tomorrow afternoon. Play auditions have begun. Feels like we never left!

Parent Ambassadors

Help to be a voice outside the SPCHS building. You are our best testimonial - giving prospective students & parents the information they need to make the informed decision to send their student for a great Catholic education experience here at St. Paul.
One way to do this is to consider placing an Open House and/or Placement Exam Sign
on your front lawn
or take a few open house posters to local establishments. Touch base with Mr. Matthew Crowley at or pick up in the main office. Another way is to write a quick one or two paragraph testimonial about your experience or your student's experience here at St. Paul. Email Melissa Lindquist at with that info.

Speaking of our Open House and Placement Exam - the dates are here! If you or someone you know is a prospective student/family and interested in seeing all St. Paul has to offer, take a tour of the campus, visit our faculty and meet our family then - sign up for our open house!

Announcing the biggest event of the year!
The Forever Falcons Gala 2017
will be held on
Saturday, November 4, 2017
at 6:00pm
This year we are thrilled to be combining two of our largest fundraising evenings; our annual Auction usually held in May, and our Circle of Honor, usually held in October; into one spectacular event that will celebrate the growth and vitality of our St. Paul community.
This s pecial evening will bestow St. Paul's highest honor, our Circle of Honor award to two deserving individuals, as well as helping to fund important advancement efforts like classroom technology, academic, athletic and fine arts programs, and financial aid for deserving students by supporting our Auction part of the program.
St. Paul is proud to announce its 2017 Circle of Honor Recipients, Sister Sandra Shaw, CSJ and Mrs. Elaine Lewandoski.
The spirit of St. Paul lives within these individuals and was proudly displayed through their combined 40 plus years of dedicated service in our early years through the late eighty's. Their continued support of our mission, values and dreams for the future truly make them Forever Falcons and we invite you to join us for this spectacular evening recognizing these outstanding individuals and celebrating St. Paul.
Show your support for this event by considering the following:
  • Showcase your business or family at our event by becoming a sponsor.
  • Place an ad in our evening's program book for your business or to congratulate a Circle of Honor recipient.
  • Donate an item to be auctioned OR gather some friends and join us for this special evening with dinner, dancing, the auction program and much more.

We are currently looking for help with this big event and would love for you to join our committee!  We need help securing items, gathering advertisers and sponsors, and talking up our event to your St. Paul friends and their families.
Our next meeting will be Wednesday September 13, 2017 from 6-8pm and then every Wednesday until the event. Join us and see what it's all about!  Can't make meetings, but still want to help from home?  No problem!  Email Shelley Mendoza to find out more at or call 860-584-0911 ext. 21.
