Essence of Yoga Registered Children’s Yoga School!

The Essence of Yoga Teacher Training Program is a Registered Children’s Yoga School in accordance with Yoga Alliance’s Standards for Children’s Yoga Teacher Training. This training teaches instructors how to deliver safe and inspiring yoga classes to kids aged from 3 to 15 years old. This training is not only for yoga teachers, but also for school teachers, parents, or anyone working with children. Topics for Essence of Yoga’s RCYS teacher trainings follow Yoga Alliance’s Educational Categories and Standards.

Times:
Weekends:
Fridays 5-9pm
Saturdays 10am-6:30pm (1-hour lunch)
Sundays 10am-5pm (1-hour lunch)

Single days: (Oct. 28th & Jan. 20th)
10am-7pm (1-hour lunch).
Cost:
$200 non-refundable deposit required to reserve a spot in the program

$1050 if paid in full by Sept. 18th (includes deposit)

$1200 if paying in installments: $200 deposit by Sept. 18th, 1st payment of $500 due by Sept. 28th, 2nd payment of $500 due by Nov. 9th.

MUST have a credit card on file to choose the installment payment plan option.

System credit cannot be used for any portion of this certification program. This training is limited to 16 people. Spots will only be held by a $200 non-refundable deposit. Registration will close on September 18th for time to prepare.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
 
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
 
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being.
Reiki Levels 1 & 2 Certifications

  • Saturday & Sunday, October 20-21, 2018
  • 12:00 to 5:00 pm both days
 
Cost:
  • $350 for both days/levels together (cannot be purchased separately).
  • $100 non-refundable deposit required to reserve a spot in the program.
  • Remaining $250 due by October 13th. 
  • System credit cannot be used for any portion of the certification's cost.
 
Space is limited to 12 people. Registration closes on October 13th. No experience is necessary to attend this training.

Reiki Level 3 Certification
with Diana Spiess

Upon completion of this Level 3 training, participants will be certified as a Reiki Master.

  • Saturday, November 17, 2018
  • 12:00 to 6:00 pm

Cost:
  • $550
  • $150 non-refundable deposit required to reserve a spot in the program.
  • Remaining $400 due by November 10th.
  • System credit cannot be used for any portion of the certification's cost.

Our yoga and Pilates instructors at essence hear every day many requests for hip opening and hip releasing. This is not a surprise once we start to evaluate our lives in so many ways: physically. mentally, and emotionally. During this YEP workshop, we will explore the hips in all ways and learn amazing ways to release them on our own and use techniques throughout our day to prevent them from getting tight and restricted. Diana will cover many angles to help everyone gather a much deeper understanding of this immensely powerful, important area of our body, and energetically for our entire being.

CECs / YTT Workshop Hours
These workshops are open to anyone. Diana can offer CEC’s for both Y.A. (Yoga Alliance) and A.C.E. (The American Council on Exercise). CEC's for other organizations can be petitioned for these workshops.
 
They are also workshop hours for the ‘ essence of Yoga ’ 200hr teacher training school, and offered to those in the ‘essence of yoga’ 300hr as part of their training.

September Letter from Diana
It’s so hard to believe that we are coming back into another holiday season!  This journey is so powerful and it seems that we just blink and we are in to another season. 

With the change of season now, we start to explore the upcoming holidays and times with family… maybe family we don’t see often, connections in our heart with family we have lost, high expectations of events with family coming home, and all that comes with this time of the year. The YEP workshop that I am doing this month, will touch on this along with the physical benefits and needs for releasing and aligning our hips. This area of our body houses our root energy and with family this is a very important area. We will explore ways to not only work on this area in yoga and/or pilates but also explore ways to work on it on a daily basis. 

Our physical sitting position is also plays a significant role on this area of the body. It’s not just about how long we sit, but it’s also about the exact position we sit in. This, too, leads to energetic blockages that can rattle and restrict flow in this area leading to all kinds of responses. We will also discuss in depth the circulation of blood and lymph fluid in the lower extremities. We will do many practices and explore ways to safely and effectively release and balance this area. 

I truly cannot explain in enough detail how working on this area of our body can affect every area of our being on all realms. My hope is to help you enter this time of our year feeling grounded, living pain free, moving with ease, and being aware of who you are as a unique being unlike any other.

TRY OUR ONLINE CLASSES at POWHOW!

We have over 15 classes available. You can subscribe to watch them all or purchase them individually. Download this Pilates/Yoga Combo Class and take it anywhere on the go! 

A half hour of Pilates mat work followed by a half hour of yoga. This class uses a foam roller, mat, ball and fitness circle... but they are not mandatory. It is for all levels of abilities.

Please consider keeping valuables and things you do not need in your trunk or at home when coming to the studio. We have great cubby spaces for shoes and coats but to have more space, we recommend keeping valuables and anything you don't need in your trunk or at home. Due to space and safety concerns, we cannot have extra belongings in the rooms while classes are going on. Although we take pride in our amazing community and studio, Essence is not responsible for lost or stolen items, and we are hoping to help you prevent any issues while also keeping the studio safe and spacious for everyone.
