The Woodridge Public Library will be  closed for Labor Day on September 5.

No-Cost Flu Shot Clinic sponsored by Walgreen's will be held from 2 - 6 p.m. on September 14.

Applications for the Woodridge October Art Show will be accepted through September 23.
New Library Website Premiers October 3

Unveiling new website
The Woodridge Public Library is updating our website to make it easier to navigate on mobile phones, tablets and laptops.

Improved features include:
  • front page list of current library events 
  • quick links to downloadable e-books and audiobooks
  • customized Children's, Teens and Adult pages
We're counting down the days to the big reveal on October 3!

DuPage Children's Museum is bringing Play-To-Learn exhibits  for children age 5 and under to the Woodridge Library on September 16. 
Registration begins  September 6 .

Glue & Go Costumes  with author Holly Cleeland is offered for adults and their children age 5 and over on September 23.  Holly's costumes have been featured on numerous TV shows and in do-it-yourself magazines. Attendees have a chance to win a costume.  Register beginning September 12 .

Study Skills & Note Taking Seminar for grades 4 and up takes place on September 13 and is now registering.

Drop-In Family Storytime programs begin September 22 and September 24
Did you know that the stories are just-right for children ages 2 to 5, but older and younger children are welcome to attend, along with the caregivers who help the whole family enjoy these half-hour events?

Featured Artist Mirela Kolce
Portrait by Mirela Kolce

Local artist Mirela Kolce will exhibit  Artworks & Drawings  i n the Woodridge Library Gallery beginning September 15. 

Ms. Kolce is a contemporary painter from Albania. She started painting when she was in high school and has participated in many exhibitions in the city of her youth, Korca. She has received recognition for her work's originality and use of color. Her art work consists of portraits, landscapes, compositions, and "wallpainting" or murals.

She shares that she expresses her emotions, and her vision of life, through her work. 

Mirela moved to the United States five years ago and settled in the Woodridge area, hoping to find better opportunities. 

Patrons can preview some of the work that will be on display in the Woodridge Library Art Gallery at the artist's website.
