 Ordination and Installation
Celebration day in the life of the Church of St. Luke - Lutheran, Toronto, ON
The eighth pastor of the congregation, Pastor Justin Park, was ordained and installed as Associate Pastor of the congregation on September 25. Currently, St. Luke has a senior pastor, three associate pastors, and one serving emeritus pastor. Praise God! The congregation is also profoundly blessed with many amazing and wonderful lay leaders, all working together in God's mission to the end that "Jesus is the centre of life for everyone in our community."

St. Paul's Lutheran, St. Clair Shores, MI, just finished their first full week and are happy to have such a great group of children and parents. They are starting a "Pray Pal" program with the congregation and the preschool children.  On October 9 they will have a preschool Sunday to welcome the new families.  The students also made crosses for Holy Cross day.

Growth and Enrichment

Pastor Justin Hannemann, Pastor David Muench, leader, and Rev. J Derek Mathers, at the Ministerial Care Coalition (MC2) Conference last week sponsored by Concordia Plan Services.

Concordia Plan Services has formed MC2 to assist in the effort to elevate the level of care for all who are engaged in the important work of ministry in The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod and their families. The goal of the Ministerial Care program is not only to help our ministers work towards being healthier and happier, but to extend the gospel of Jesus Christ to all of the places so desperately in need of the love of Christ by taking care of those ministers.
A request from the bishop
If you know of a rostered LCMS Ordained Minister who is currently on "Candidate Status" and would like to be considered for a call, please email the name of the pastor to Bishop Jamison J. Hardy at jhardy@englishdistrict.org. Thank you!

CORRECTION

Our apologies to Rev. Brian Westgate.  In last week's Servant to Servant, we listed Rev. William Douthwaite instead of him as one of the pastors leading devotions at the Eastern Regional Pastors Conference in Buffalo. We're very sorry for the mistake.
