Monday, January 9th was exciting, as legislators from across the state made their way to the Capitol to mark the beginning of 154th Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly. Issues such as healthcare access, education, medical cannabis, casino gaming and public safety initiatives will be up for debate.
If you have any questions regarding legislation, I encourage you to reach out to me.
One of the highlights of my first week back was hosting a group of students from the International Military Student Office (IMSO), located in Ft. Benning, Georgia. The IMSO serves as the headquarters for all international students at Fort Benning. All IMSO students learn about the different levels of the U.S. government during their stay in this country. This helps to give them an understanding of our way of life, as well as the government and military operations within it. For more information on their visit, click here.
Thank you for allowing me to serve you. It is an honor to represent our area of the state. I will continue to update you throughout the legislative session and please, if you need anything at all, let me know. I am here for you!
