You can help by bringing small water bottles or individually packaged snacks to the Jewish Federation of St. Louis. (Make sure they are marked "International Institute Camp.")

July Seniors Lunch

Monday, July 24, 12-2 p.m., United Hebrew Congregation

Shaare Emeth, Temple Israel and United Hebrew invite senior adults to enjoy a delicious lunch buffet and presentation from Joe Holleman, columnist and reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Holleman writes “Life Sherpa” and “Joe’s St. Louis.” Reservations are required to United Hebrew by Wednesday, July 19. Learn more here.

Tzedek: Social Justice and Advocacy
New Tzedakah Recipient

Our tzedakah this quarter supports the work of Rabbi Michal Ken-Tor in Megiddo, one of our Partnership2Gether cities in Israel. Rabbi Ken-Tor works under the auspices of the Israel Movement for Reform and Progressive Judaism which seeks to integrate Jewish tradition with the realities of modern life in order to help each individual shape his or her own Jewish way of life through a process of study and reflection.
 

Bags 4 My Cause: Room at the Inn

Room at the Inn has been chosen for the Schnucks Bags 4 My Cause program! Visit the Schnucks in Bridgeton at 11253 St. Charles Rock Road during the month of July. Room at the Inn will receive $1 for each bag purchased!

The Book of Memory goes to press during the summer, so your immediate response is critical. If you would like to remember your loved ones in our 2017 book, please complete the card you received in the mail and return it with your voluntary contribution by Friday, July 14. Mishkan HaNefesh: Machzor for the Days of Awe

We are offering the opportunity for you to dedicate a prayer book in honor of or in memory of a loved one. Your prayer book dedication will offset the cost of providing these books for our Congregation. A bookplate with your name will be placed inside the two-volume set for a tax-deductible contribution of $45. If you would like to pay with a check, please stop by our offices and fill out an order form. If you would like to pay with a credit card, you can use the online order form instead.
