At this difficult time for our nation and world, we invite the entire Congregation and community to gather with us to welcome Shabbat and join our hearts and prayers in unity and peace. Come sing and pray with us to send a message of solidarity as we express our continued commitment to the pursuit of a more socially just world. Rabbi Stiffman - Panelist for Jewish Book Festival

Rabbi Emeritus Jeff Stiffman has been chosen as a panelist for the Missouri's Own program at the Jewish Book Festival, which takes place on November 6 at 10:30 a.m. Rabbi Stiffman's book, "Shaare Emeth at 150," describes the history of the Congregation from its beginnings as the first Reform Congregation in St. Louis to the present.
Baby 'n' Me
Starting Wednesday, August 30, 9:30 a.m.

Festival of Nations 2017
Saturday, August 26
Volunteers are needed to staff the Jewish table at the annual Festival of Nations in Tower Grove Park on Saturday, August 26. Contact Jerri Livingston at [email protected]  or (314) 469-3553 to sign up for a 2-hour time slot. All materials will be provided.
Walk to End Alzheimer's Disease
Saturday, September 16, 9:30 a.m.
One-in-ten people over 65 have some form of dementia. The Walk to End Alzheimer's seeks to reduce that number by raising money to fund research efforts. Weekday Torah Study Resumes
Wednesday, September 6, 10 a.m.
As we resume our weekday Torah Study session after this short summer break, we will keep the same time (10-11 a.m.) but will now meet on Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays. We hope you can join us. Our first session will introduce you to our new High Holiday prayerbook,  Mishkan HaNefesh  (The Sanctuary of the Soul).

Introduction to Judaism
Beginning October 17
If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about Judaism, consider signing up for this 16-week class at Temple Israel. It is sponsored by the Union for Reform Judaism and taught by members of the Association of Reform Rabbis of St. Louis. The class will meet on Tuesday nights from 7 - 9 p.m. from October 17, 2017 - March 6, 2018. Tuition is $250 for an individual and $275 for a couple. Learn more here .

Mishkan HaNefesh: Machzor for the Days of Awe
We are offering the opportunity for you to dedicate a prayer book in honor of or in memory of a loved one. Your prayer book dedication will offset the cost of providing these books for our Congregation. A bookplate with your name will be placed inside the two-volume set for a tax-deductible contribution of $45. Please stop by our office and fill out an order form or call us at 314-569-0010.
