Honor a Woman with Ovarian Cancer and Share Your Ovarian Cancer Advocacy Efforts at our Annual Conference

Dear friend:

We're just 26 days away from the start of our 15th Annual Conference. We hope you can join us in Washington, DC, but this email outlines three ways you can be a part of the conference whether or not you attend in person.

poster display at 2011 Annual ConferenceOne of the highlights of last year's conference were the posters highlighting our community's advocacy efforts. We are once again inviting conference participants to display posters of their work to raise awareness of ovarian cancer. This year we are inviting attendees to vote on their favorite posters.

Our 15th Annual Conference will include a ceremony called Honoring the Journey. This is a time to hear the voices of our community--of women who live with the disease, of loved ones who are gone and of people personally touched by ovarian cancer in any way. Please submit your original poetry to be read during Honoring the Journey.

National Garden of HopeWe continue to grow our National Garden of Hope. Following our Honoring the Journey ceremony, we will distribute packets of flower seeds, each accompanied by the photograph of a woman whose life was touched by ovarian cancer. Learn how you can honor a woman in your life as part of our National Garden of Hope.

I hope to see you in Washington in a few weeks! If you have any questions about the Annual Conference, please contact me at ewhite@ovariancancer.org or (202) 331-1332.

With warm regards,
