NOVEMBER 2017
Saving the outdoors in southeastern New Hampshire
SELT's largest conservation project ever, the 1,500-acre Stonehouse Forest in Barrington, NH is nearly conserved. If you've made your gift, Thank you! If not there's still a couple weeks left - we must raise the final $34,000 before we take over ownership of this property in December to conserve it for people, for nature, forever!
Get outside on Turkey Day morning with your loved ones for a family-friendly community event to benefit 3 local nonprofits: Exeter Run Club, Southern District YMCA’s Youth Programs, and SELT. Enjoy a Kids' Fun Run, 5K or 10K!
Tri-City Subaru in Somersworth, NH has selected SELT as its local charity for Subaru’s annual, “Share the Love” campaign. From November 16, 2017 to January 2, 2018, Tri-City Subaru customers who buy or lease a new Subaru will have the option of directing a $250 donation to SELT in support of the Stonehouse Forest project.
A great new resource for local conservation groups just opened: The Seacoast Stewardship Tool Library located in the barn at SELT's Burley Farms in Epping. An online lending system makes it easy for volunteer groups, conservation commissions, and organizations to check out tools for trail maintenance, habitat improvements, and other projects!
For a second year, SELT staff members are braving the frigid waters at Jenness Beach in Rye to raise money for local conservation. On Tuesday, November 28th (known as "Giving Tuesday") we will plunge together in solidarity to protect this place we call home. Please make a donation today and come cheer us on at 3:30pm. All gifts will be matched by an anonymous donor! Donate now
Much gratitude goes to our guests, auction item donors, and sponsors of SELT's 15th Annual Fall Foliage Fundraiser on Oct 21st. Thank you ALL for a fun & festive evening of raising dollars for conservation. A super big thanks goes to our Platinum Sponsors: Northland Forest Products, Ledgewood Wealth Advisors, Center for Assessment, and Cambridge Trust Co. of NH.
