Rocky Comfort Cabins is opening their newest cabin, the Hobbit House!
Loosely inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy novel "The HOBBIT", the cottage is semi-underground with a living roof, blending harmoniously into the surrounding environment.
Nestled next to the woods with a gorgeous north facing view, this unique grass roofed cottage will make you feel as if you are indeed gazing upon your own Shire.
Nine foot ceilings, arched walls, and romantic lighting with dimmer switches give this spacious one bedroom cottage a luxurious, cozy, romantic ambiance. Sun tunnels cast natural light in the living room, kitchen, and roomy bathroom. An arched opening between the living room and bedroom allows a full view of the beautiful, fully vented gas fireplace from the decadently comfortable king size, four poster bed. Step out from the bedroom and enjoy a soak in the four person hot tub on the private, pergola covered patio.
Round windows and wood detailing along with many more touches set this cottage apart from all the rest.
Guests of the Hobbit will have a private trail through the short stretch of woods to Blue Sky Vineyard on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail.

The winery will also be featuring locally made soap, jewelry, and art in our gift shop from a variety of local artisans and will be offering a special holiday beverage option.
