science and brews in your neighborhood

Every month the Fleet's Suds & Science program sends a scientist out to a local watering hole to share what they know and bring people together for conversation. The next event on February 6 explores the science of making plastic out of sustainable materials. Other upcoming talks include climate change, fisheries management and new research on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Come join us for a brew and learn about science!

Science every week of the year

The Fleet's community science program, 52 Weeks of Science, brings science learning events for adults and kids to the communities of Barrio Logan and Logan Heights every week. Upcoming events include hands-on explorations of archeology, drone technology and the science behind low-riders! There's always something new, so come check it out!

The Fleet Science Center is a nonprofit organization that seeks to inspire lifelong learning by furthering the public understanding and enjoyment of science and technology.
