Stretch your notion of what defines motion when So Moved: the Art and Science of Motion opens at the Fleet, also on February 11, 2017. For this exhibition, the Fleet asked ten San Diego artists to present interpretations of motion in all its different forms, including wave motion, random motion and the illusion of motion. Come see it for yourself!
Sign-ups begin soon for STEAM Spring Camps at the Fleet! Grades 1-3 can enjoy science camp activities that explore science, engineering, art and math. Grades 4-7 can learn about computer science and technology through ThoughtSTEM. Camps begin March 27 and run through March 31. Sign up early to ensure your spot!
Every month the Fleet's
Suds & Science program sends a scientist out to a local watering hole to share what they know and bring people together for conversation. The Fleet's community science program, 52 Weeks of Science, brings science learning events for adults and kids to the communities of Barrio Logan and Logan Heights every week.
